Harrison Katz has politics in his DNA. His father worked as finance director in Presidential campaigns thirty years ago and was on the Senate staff of Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York. Harrison remembers going into the voting booths with his dad and watching election returns as a youngster.
He didn’t wait until he reached adulthood to get active in working to improve his community – he worked as an aide to a Congressional candidate here in the 25th District 2 years ago. He also served as an intern in the Southern California office of the former Lt. Governor.
In addition to extra-curricular politics, Harrison is a second year student at COC. Not surprisingly, he was a founder and President of the School’s Political Science Club and serves as a member of the Santa Clarita Community Development Center.
Someone asked Harrison why he sought public office so early in his life. He answered “that he had procrastinated long enough.”
